The major autumn event in the tank-container industry, which is the 6th International Tank Container Forum (ITCF-2024), will take place on October 24 this year as part of the “KHIMIA-2024” exhibition at the Expocentre in Moscow.
The participants of the tank-container industry, who are representatives of operators, service depots, washing and steaming stations, industry committees and organizations, will traditionally join together at the event to discuss current industry development issues.
In the tank container industry, the topic of Russian-Chinese cooperation will run like a golden thread through traditional industry topics related to development of new tank container transport routes, infrastructure projects, manufacturing of different equipment types, as well as repair and maintenance of tank containers. This became possible due to established collaboration between Tank Container World (TCW) (a news outlet and the forum’s organizer), and the largest tank container platform in Asia – Tank Container Development Alliance (TCDA), and other Chinese industry companies.
For the first time, on the professional platform other pressing industry issues will be also under discussion. These include processing of seamless money transfers from Russia to friendly countries, accessibility of the Russian Railways network and infrastructure for tank container transport, recent developments in the International Transport Corridor “North-South,” and the challenges related to congestion in the Eastern Polygon.
One of the forum’s main topics will be expansion of tank-containers’ usage in term of chemical cargo transportation logistics. A representative of JSC ‘Roskhim’, that is one of the leading companies in the chemical industry, will provide insights into transportation needs of manufacturing companies and new logistics development in accordance with active implementation of tank containers for product transportation. Significant attention will be paid to domestic transportation of goods in tank containers, import substitution of components for tank container repairs, as well as development of repair depot services.
The forum will be thematically divided into three parts, that are analytical, logistical and service-oriented ones, which will allow maximum focus on the relevant issues within these segments. To enable representatives of Chinese companies to delve into the specific features of the Russian tank container industry and discuss collaboration opportunities with potential partners, the event will be held in two languages: Russian and English.
